Loan Partner - Mt. Dora Branch (In-Person)

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, Loan Originator, or Designated Supervisor, the Loan Partner is responsible for assisting the Loan Originator by working with prospective loan applicants to achieve loan approval and subsequent closing.  Additionally, the Loan Partner may assist with finding prospective clients and building relationships with third party business partners.

In-Person Position - Mt. Dora Branch - 620 E. 5th Avenue Mount Dora, FL 32757 

Duties:

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Acts as a liaison between the client and Loan Originator as needed.
  • Assists the Loan Originator by meeting and guiding the client through the loan application process.
  • Verifies and completes all required fields on the application documents as well as in Encompass.  Secures all signatures and dates as needed.
  • Obtains all documentation and support information as required by the products and loan programs.
  • Provides loan disclosures that comply with federal, state, agency and/or investor guidelines.
  • Professionally interacts with applicants throughout the loan process.
  • Assists the Loan Originator with seeking out and building relationships with third party business partners in the immediate community such as real estate agents, title companies, home builders, financial planners, etc.
  • Maintains current knowledge of standard loan products offered by agencies and investors, as well as trends and developments in the local real estate market.
  • Provides clear, effective communications to team members.
  • Assists with training loan partner staff in the department.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management of The Mortgage Firm.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Encompass and Microsoft Outlook
  • Minimum of high school diploma required.
  • Highly detailed and organized with ability to multi-task.
  • Professional image.
  • Minimum 2 years recent successful mortgage sales experience required.
  • Minimum of high school diploma required.
  • Knowledge of standard loan products offered by FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, and FHLMC.
  • Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and AUS systems.
